Police make an arrest in downtown Tauranga this afternoon following an alleged police pursuit Photo/File

Police have arrested a man after he was allegedly spotted driving a stolen vehicle in downtown Tauranga.

A police communication spokeswoman said police pursued a stolen vehicle at the intersection of Elizabeth Street and Devonport Road about 3.10pm today.

At the end of the pursuit, which lasted a minute, there was a minor collision and the male driver was arrested, she said.
