Ria Hall

Bay songbird Ria Hall has signed to international music juggernaut Sony.

The signing to the Sony label is a huge milestone for Hall, who revealed the news on her Facebook page last night.

Hall, who left full time work to pursue her music career, referred to the signing coming after perseverance through tough moments such as 'having my heart torn out of my chest with people saying I'd never make it' and playing in 'countless seedy pubs for rubbish pay'.

Hall thanked everyone who had supported her, especially family and her friend and fellow musician Stan Walker who she sang with in single 'Like it's Over'.

She posted 'I love you all. Dream big! Now the real work begins'.
