A woman was arrested following an armed police raid on a house in suburban Greerton.
Tauranga Armed Offenders' Squad arrived at the Sterling Grove property shortly before 7am yesterday after being called to assist the investigation team with a search warrant.
Head of the AOS, Inspector Karl Wright-St Clair, said
there were four people in the house when the squad arrived, all of whom were adults. They were handcuffed and told to lie on the footpath but co-operated with police, he said.
The AOS was called in as a matter of safety for the team of six or seven police officers who followed.
Detective Brian Dudley said a 26-year-old woman was arrested at the property and appeared in Tauranga District Court yesterday.
