When the COROnation Street stage show was advertised as coming to New Zealand the Stevanon siblings decided to get their parents, Julie and Willie tickets to attend in Auckland.
"Mum went armed with her red photo album hoping to see 'Ken' again, even though I said it wouldn't be likely.
"But staff at the Civic theatre were so taken with the photos and her story, that they organised for her to meet William Roache after the show."
Mrs Stevanon says she was very excited to be taken back stage to meet Mr Roache and the cast.
"He was really surprised to see the photos and kept looking at them to see who I had met and where they were taken.
"To start with he couldn't work out how I had been there, especially in his dressing room.
"So I explained that some friends in New Zealand had a daughter in Manchester who knew the Coronation Street producer and arranged for me to be on the set when they were filming.
"The photos in my album were taking during a break in filming."
Adrian Stevanon (who now works for Maori television) says his mum was very excited when he picked her up.
"Mum said Ken was blown away with her album and the actors were pretty interested to see all the photos too."

COROnation Street stage show was created by Coronation Street scriptwriter Jonathan Harvey.
The show was specially commissioned by ITV to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Britain's longest running soap.
It condenses the programme's 50-year history of births, deaths, marriages and dramatic events into an action-packed, humorous show, which won critical acclaim in Britain.
Six actors take roles of street characters, while the action is narrated by William Roache.
COROnation Street has finished its Auckland run and is currently showing in Wellington.
