A power pole has exploded in Te Puna after a car crash.
Police were called to the scene on Te Puna Station Rd at 10.23am where a single car had crashed into the power pole.
A police media spokeswoman said the power pole "exploded" and lines were covering the road
at the time of the crash.
Fire crews and ambulance staff attended the incident and the driver was treated for minor injuries at the scene.
Police were investigating the cause of the crash.
