A car has hit a power pole on Pyes Pa Rd, between Greerton and the Pyes Pa Cemetery.
Traffic, in both directions, is being diverted along Joyce Rd.
The crash happened about 7.51am, knocking over the pole and leaving it lying on the car, police northern communication shift commander ChrisMoney said.
One person was trapped until power authorities arrived to make sure they could be safely removed, he said.
