The BayTrust Rescue Helicopter had back-to-back calls on Saturday.
It was first sent to Ruatahuna at 9.30am to a 58-year old woman who was suffering chest pains.
She was flown to Rotorua Hospital for treatment.
It was then dispatched to the Te Urewera National Park by the Rescue Co-ordination Centre.

A 57-year-old man had fallen from his motorbike and had multiple broken bones.
