Water damage has forced the closure of two buildings at Tauranga's Historic Village.
Village team leader Blair Graham said a staff member arrived on site at the village this morning to find flooding in the streets and through two of the buildings.
The cause of the flooding was still unknown but contractors on site today were working to determine it.
Mr Graham said they thought there could be a blockage in a drain and they were using cameras to determine where it could be.
A survey of the village's infrastructure was completed two months ago so they would be able to compare the results from findings today.
