The accolades just keep coming for Patsy Jorgensen.
The Omanu Bowling Club member has been awarded the Silver Star - an honour created in February to acknowledge those who have won five or more of the following titles since Bowls New Zealand was established in 1996: the National Club Championships, National Division 1 Interclub Championship, National Intercentre Championship, National Mixed Pairs Championship, Super 8 and Superbowls.
Jorgensen was presented with the Silver Star by Bowls New Zealand vice president Mike Spring at the opening of the Bay of Plenty women's open fours tournament.
"Patsy was one of the inaugural inductees to the Bowls New Zealand Hall of Fame at the Bowls NZ centennial dinner last September," said Spring.
He said she had won more than 40 club titles and 21 centre titles in Hawke's Bay and Bay of Plenty, claimed the national fours title in 2004 and has represented New Zealand at six events after winning her cap in 1997 at the Asia Pacific Championships.
