A poll showing Maori Party co-leader Te Ururoa Flavell well ahead Labour's Tamati Coffey in Waiariki has given the party confidence it can stay in Parliament.
It is well off the 5 per cent threshold for list seats without holding an electorate.
The Newshub poll gave Mr Flavell 60.1 per cent of the vote and Mr Coffey 39.9 per cent.
