A bird was found to be the culprit of a fire service call out to Welcome Bay last night.
Fire fighters were called to Welcome Bay about 5.45pm yesterday for reports of an explosion.
Upon arrival they found it to be a blown fuse in high tension power wires caused by a bird, fire northern communications shift manager Jaron Phillips said.
