About eight to 10 local Vodafone staff also dedicated about four hours of their time out of the office to help with painting, replanting some of the garden and doing odd jobs at the Bay of Plenty Sexual Assault Services centre.
Rogers said working with Vodafone meant the rugby union was able to contribute to the community in a better way as they were volunteering together.
"[We were] different organisations collaborating and working together."
Vodafone's Tauranga regional business manager Andrew Hitchfield said Vodafone gave employees the chance to spend about two weeks of the year doing voluntary work.
Hitchfield said staff were more than happy to partner with the Bay of Plenty Rugby Union to do some volunteer work at the Bay of Plenty Sexual Assault Services centre.
"It is really just a chance for us to help out," Hitchfield said.
"People were putting themselves forward."
Cindy Lee of the Bay of Plenty Sexual Assault Services centre was extremely grateful for the help from the Bay of Plenty Rugby Union and Vodafone employees.
"They are helping to spruce up our office," Lee said.
She said the work made clients feel cared for and also raises awareness of sexual assault in the community.
"They are so amazing that they are helping is with this," Lee said.
"We really appreciate their time and energy."
