St Thomas More Catholic School has run up and down on the competition at Tauranga City Basketball's Mini World Cup.
The team won all six of its matches, putting up 194 points while conceeding just 32, to beat 19 other school teams for the title.
Brayden Stowers and Luca Adsett were standouts, with both being named to the tournament's All Star team.
The Year 5-6 team, playing as Mexico and consisting of Dawson Straffon, Brayden Palmer, Austin Frear, Whetumarama Timutimu, Mikaela Percival, Luke Nolaln and Fergus Glubb, had wins over Selwyn Ridge Primary School, Tauriko Primary School and Pyes Pa School before a loss to St Mary's Primary School saw them finish second in their pool.
They beat Omanu Primary School in the play-off game to finish seventh out of 20 teams.
