The New Zealand Trasnport Agency has postponed disruptive roadworks until next weekend due to weather conditions.
The work has been rescheduled for the weekend of July 30 and 31 because of the possibility of lightning.
Motorists were being asked to avoid the Maungatapu roundabout this weekend as delays of up to 12 minutes were possible as heavy machinery, including large cranes, would be moving a high voltage power line so work can continue on the roundabout as part of the Maungatapu underpass project.
This would now happen next weekend, depending on weather.
