Armed police have executed search warrants at two addresses in Pāpāmoa.

A police media spokeswoman said an armed offenders squad was deployed at addresses on Kotiate St and Dunkeld Drive as a precautionary measure.

No arrests were made and inquiries are ongoing, she said.

Earlier, a police media spokeswoman said police had been searching an address on Kotiate St since about 6am.

A resident who did not want to be named said he saw about eight police cars and armed police at an address.
