Armed police were called to the Arataki area this afternoon.
A police media communications spokeswoman said armed police were called to Gloucester Rd at 12.10pm following reports someone had been injured.
The job was later understood to be a mental health-related incident and one person sustained superficial injuries, the spokeswoman said.
Police are continuing their investigations.
