A police presence has been felt in Te Puke as a property was searched this morning.
A police spokeswoman said police were conducting a "routine, pre-planned search warrant in the area" with the help of the Armed Offenders Squad.
She said Te Puke Highway was blocked for about an hour and a half from approximately 10.30 am.
The road has since been reopened.
