Tauranga iwi have been given an extra week to convince Treaty Negotiations Minister Andrew Little not to sign a settlement with Pare Hauraki.
Little has extended the deadline for more information from this Friday to next Friday.
"Following a request from parties, I have agreed to give them more time to provide information about the Pare Hauraki Collective Redress Deed to Friday, May 25, 2018.

"I will consider any new information received by this date when I make my decision concerning the signing of the Deed of Settlement," Little said.
The extension followed Tuesday's 300-person hīkoi to Parliament led by Tauranga iwi Ngāi Te Rangi.
