A 23-year-old Tauranga man has been arrested in relation to the attempted armed robbery of the Summit Superette.
Senior Sergeant Nigel Ramsden said the man was arrested yesterday.
He will appear in Tauranga District Court today charged with assault with intent to rob.
A man armed with a gun entered the Waihi Rd store and demanded money about 6.45pm on August 2. A shop worker grabbed a hockey stick from under the counter and chased the man out of the store.
