All lanes reopened after two-car crash on SH2 near Whakamarama

All lanes on State Highway 2 have reopened following a two-vehicle crash near Whakamarama.

Police were called to the crash near the intersection of the highway and Work Rd about 6.20pm.

Firefighters also attended, as well as St John paramedics, who found all occupants of the cars uninjured.

The southbound lane was initially partly blocked but a police spokeswoman said about 7.40pm that it was reopening.
