Audiences can celebrate the strength, diversity and passion of dance next Monday night.
Dance NZ Made is a regional, interschool dance competition that enables students from Years 3-13 to dance in groups and choreograph their own material.
It is the first time the competition has been held in the Bay of Plenty and it was imperative the competition was brought to the region as Mount Maunganui College scooped numerous top awards at last year's national event, says organiser and head of drama and dance, Wayne Flanagan.
"This competition is an incredible opportunity for students to work together, show leadership and creativity and help younger students in the competition ... not only is it an amazing show, it's encouraging our youth to help each other."
