From serious classical to a rousing mash-up of Sister Act songs - complete with nun outfits - Inachord Women's Chorus present the Sisters In Song concert next month.
The 30 songstresses that make up the Inachord chorus have a few surprises up their sleeves when they hit Baycourt on November 11. They don't want to give everything away - but a taste of what's on offer include La Vergine-degli Angeli and When the Saints Go Marching In.
Modern numbers include Happy and Big Girls Don't Cry.
Soprano Felicity Tomkins (currently preparing for the New Zealand Aria while undertaking a double degree) is a guest singer and will be part of the nuns' chorus and La Vergine-degli Angeli. Scottish twins Ronan and Duncan Hendry from Aquinas College will be adding a bit of Scots song and dance.
Inachord's director is vocal coach Andrew Baird. He has a strong background in musical theatre and was the musical director of the Patea Maori Club for 16 years.
