A man has been killed and another is seriously injured after two yachts collided during a race.
Emergency services were called to the Royal Prince Alfred yacht club at Newport in Sydney's north after the two yachts collided at about 2.30pm on Saturday afternoon.
One man was pronounced dead at the scene and the other was airlifted to the Royal North Shore Hospital with severe leg injuries.
The yachts have been towed from the scene for forensic examination, NSW police revealed in a statement.
The men's ages have not yet been disclosed by police.
