A man has been charged over a crash that killed a cyclist in Melbourne.
Police will allege the Fitzroy North man, 27, was driving a Holden Rodeo on Barkly Street in West Footscray on Thursday afternoon when he hit a cyclist and parked car near the intersection of Argyle Street.
It will be further alleged after the crash the man parked his car and then ran off.
The cyclist, 54, died at the scene.
The family of the cyclist, a New Zealand man who had Australian residency, has been notified and relatives are working with police to repatriate his body.
