Taihape and Tawhero will pick their line-ups today for their golfing dogfight at the foot of the A grade Pennants table.
The two clubs are locked in a relegation battle with Wanganui as the final round of the Manawatu Wanganui Association's Pennants competition looms tomorrow.
The A-graders are at Feilding where Taihape and Tawhero - both on three points for their one win of the season - clash and Wanganui, also on three points, take on championship-chasing Manawatu.
Taihape beat Wanganui 6.5 to 5.5 on their home course, while Tawhero beat Wanganui 7 to 5 at Palmerston North. However, in the last round, Wanganui clutched a lifeline by upsetting Palmerston 6.5 to 5.5 on the Belmont course.
Victory for either Taihape or Tawhero will ensure their survival in the A grade, while Wanganui may need a few wins in the four foursomes, eight singles face-off with Manawatu to survive.
