The Woolworth Rose Bowl Regatta scheduled for the Whanganui River this weekend has again failed to materialise.
The regatta - which hasn't been held for a few years due to lack of numbers - has again been cancelled due to insufficient entries.
Wanganui Rowing Association secretary David Evans said there had been a number of local entries but out-of-towners were thin on the water. It is believed only Wellington crews showed any interest.
However, Sunday will see the 10-kilometre heads comprising eights and small boats which will start at 30-second intervals from 10am from Upokongaro.
