Shanon Whitlock acknowledges the large crowd at the Wanganui Squash Club's main court to watch his game against Henderson's David Krull in the final of the E-grade nationals men's competition on Saturday night. Whitlock would start the finals draw off right for his Wanganui team, beating Krull 3-0 to take the first game as his team went on to win the tie 4-1 and claim the club's second national title in two years. Ohakune Squash Rackets Club's women's team made it a double for the Central clubs as they defeated Hawkes Bay's Eastern 3-2 in their final.
