RUGBYU: Kaierau's rugby season ended with yet another win on Saturday.
The club won the Taranaki Sevens against anything the first division union could throw at it ? but has turned down an invitation to attend the regional sevens in New Plymouth next week as a Wanganui representative.
The Wanganui Union decided not to pursue a road to the national sevens this season after last year's struggle. Kaierau's feature was young City College player Paul Perez, a national Samoan sevens representative, who scored some outstanding tries.
Coach Phillip Morris says the tries were nicely set-up inside through Denning Tyrell, Ace Malo and Jerry Meafou, with Filfili Samuellu, Semesi Taulava, Pati Fetuai'i and Willie Kabakaba doing the job in the tight area.
Other members of the squad were: Josh Navitio, Joe Malili, Aro Mauinatiu, Frank Lene and Bai Tuibua.
