Before Matt Burke Engineering Marton Saracens get into the serious business of tomorrow's Porter Hire Premier 1 final, they will be helping get the next generation ready with a primary school tournament at Centennial Park today.
Saracens have run "coaching in schools" programmes for the Marton, Hunterville and Bulls children, so will cap off those lessons with an eight-a-side competition at the park.
Captain Dominic Rayner said the eight teams of 11 to 12-year-olds will be split into two pools, with the senior club players acting as mentors.
"Eight of the boys have taken the day off work and they'll have a team each."
Play starts at 9.30am.
