Cinderella came to life on the Wanganui Opera House stage last weekend with two recitals by the Shirley McDouall School of Dance.
Dancers had been rehearsing for just six weeks for the performances and senior teacher Melissa Tate said they all danced brilliantly.
"I could not be happier with their performances, they were all brilliant and they have ended the year on a real high note.
"A couple of the students will be leaving us to go and start their tertiary studies next year but most of them will be back."
The performance was a showcase of students' abilities in modern and contemporary dance styles as well as ballet.
