Double the derby returns to Whanganui on Saturday as the West Coast Bombers Alternative Skate League plays host to two games of roller derby at Jubilee Stadium.
An action-packed and full contact sport, roller derby is a fast paced game played on quad skates in close quarters to the crowd.
In this weekend's double header, the West Coast Bombers Development Team, the Stealth Bombers, kick off the exhilaration hosting Palmerston North's Swamp City Roller Derby's Honourable Mareikura at 3pm.
This game promises to be a thriller with a number of debutantes, along with many of the old favourites all chomping at the bit to play.
The second game at 5pm is a Battle of the Ages, an Overs and Unders invitational bout where premium players from across New Zealand will be bringing their skills to Whanganui to battle it out.
