Whanganui eleven-year-old Sera Raj has trumped her older and more famous golfing sister Tara with a hole-in-one at the Taupo Junior Masters tournament on the Tauhara course yesterday.
Raj potted the ace on the par 3 16th hole giving her the opportunity for bragging rights over her 15-year-old sibling Tara who has yet to ace a hole in her short, but illustrious career.
Mother Arlene, who was Sera's caddy yesterday, said her daughter knew she had hit the ball sweetly and saw it roll into the hole from the tee.
"She was pretty excited,' Arlene Raj said.
"She hadn't been playing very well at all during the day, so this made up for it a bit. It's been raining here most of the day, althoughh not during her hole-in-one. Sera is the only girls playing 18 holes in the under-12 division. They played at the Tauhara course today and tomorrow play on the Centennial course.
