A Whanganui supermarket will soon get an in-store pharmacy as part of a revamp.
Progressive Enterprises is planning to refurbish its Countdown Victoria Ave store "over the next four months or so".
"Our customers can expect some brand new features including a new in-store Countdown Pharmacy, as well as a refreshed look more in line with Countdown's modern store design," store manager Tanya Gibney said.
"We always aim to deliver the best shopping environment for our customers, and we're very pleased to be finally starting to refurbish our Countdown Victoria Ave store. It's overdue for a refresh and the team are really excited and looking forward to some great changes in-store and out."
Countdown opened its first in-store pharmacy in 2012 and now has them in 20 stores nationwide. The pharmacies include a private consultation room and dispense prescription and pharmacy-only medicines. They are run by registered professional pharmacists.
