Wanganui Riding for the Disabled (RDA) have raised $100,000 but the road to $750,000 is long and they will continue their journey with a car boot sale.
Everyone is invited to participate in the event which begins at 10am at the Wanganui RDA premises on Purnell Street on Saturday, April 28.
RDA have been raising funds to purchase the almost 2ha of land they lease from the NZ Transport Agency and Whanganui District Council.
Chris McLeod, volunteer and licensee salesman at RDA sponsor Ray White said he was not sure how it would go.
"We've never done this before, it would be nice to make $500, it would be nice to make $1000 and it would be nicer still to make $2000," he said.
