Myrtle rust
Myrtle rust is so widespread in New Zealand that the Ministry for Primary Industries will no longer be doing field work to manage it. Landowners with myrtle rust can decide how to manage their plants themselves. If infected plants are disposed of, it must be to landfill. Rules for disposal are on the Biosecurity New Zealand website.
