Health board chief now at Wellington
The former chief executive of the Whanganui District Health Board has helped fill a gap at Wellington's district health board.
Julie Patterson has been the interim chief executive at the Capital and Coast District Health Board since May after replacing Dr Ashley Bloomfield, who took up the position of Director-General of Health in early June.
Patterson was chief executive of the Whanganui DHB from 2008 until October last year.
Still conserving water
Rangitīkei District Council has asked Mangaweka and Hunterville residents to continue to conserve water over the weekend while staff work to get reservoir levels back to normal. The issue has been caused by recent weather conditions which were affecting the water going into the reservoir. The council has assured residents that the water is safe to drink.
