The organiser of the Wanganui Chronicle's Pink Ribbon Breakfast is tickled pink.
Amanda Wood hoped to raise $200 at the breakfast - instead she took in more than $520.
The Chronicle set up the barbecue on Guyton St early yesterday morning, and sold sausages for $2 a pop, and steak and egg sandwiches for $3 each.
Mrs Wood said she was amazed by people's generosity.
"We had people donating to us without having any food. The breakfast was so popular that we actually ran out of food, but people were still donating.
