A spate of Hawera burglaries has police urging residents to be community-minded.
Sergeant Sandy Shaw of Hawera Police is urging neighbours to look out for each other. Police also want people to report any suspicious activity.
"We don't want people to be put off calling because they think their concern is too trivial," she said.
There have been 10 burglaries and three car thefts in the town within two weeks and police believe there may be a connection to a New Plymouth burglary. A house in Wilson St was ransacked while other properties were disturbed.
Two of the vehicles have been found but a cream-coloured Mitsubishi Diamante, registration number BPH757, stolen from Patea on Monday, is still missing.
