Rob Webb has lived a life of service.
He was a fireman for 40 years, he served on the community board, in the army and he was on the board of trustees for his local primary and secondary schools.
And tomorrow marks his 50th year of playing the bugle at the Taihape ANZAC dawn parade.
"It's a personal goal to come and play the last post for the Taihape Anzac parade. It's my town, and it will always be home," says Mr Webb.
Mr Webb made the move to Kerikeri two years ago for work, but still makes the trip back to attend the post he had no intention of leaving.
