"I just love it , it's a real honor to be able to play for those fallen men, and for the ones that came back as well."
Mr Webb's family has lived in Taihape for five generations. He started playing the last post at just 14 years old and he's never stopped.
"As long as my lips will allow me to blow that and i've got enough wind to do it, I'll keep doing it."
Like hundreds of thousands of New Zealanders, tonight will be an early night for Mr Webb, so he can be up before the break of dawn.
