The donor of a new teddy bear for Gemma Cawley wishes to remain anonymous but the bear came with a note pinned to his chest - a copy of the photo of Gemma's old bear and a note saying "from one flood victim to another".
"Apparently this bear is 30 years old, although he doesn't look it, and he is very soft and cuddly. It is such a nice gesture and I'm very touched by it," Gemma said.
"I had passed my teddy bears on to my young nephews who would play with them when they came to visit and they were all stored under my bed.
"The one that was in the paper was named Ted. I will take this one to see my nephews and see if they would like to name him."
Gemma said her muddy old bear will be put through the wash and he may get to keep the new bear company, if he survives.
