A ute smashed through two fences and a glasshouse on Alma Rd in the early hours of Sunday.

A Gonville resident is furious after a driver lost control of his vehicle and crashed through a property in Alma Rd at 4am today.

The woman, who did not want to be named, said the male driver was drunk and had a female passenger and an infant in the ute.

"An infant - can you believe it," she said.

"He claims he had fallen asleep."

A glasshouse on the property was smashed as well as the fence and a neighbour's fence.

"My partner heard the noise but wasn't sure what it was and my neighbour heard the bang and called the police," she said.

"My neighbour is out there today cutting up a tree that moved about 10 metres from where it was.

"We're doing a big clean-up today. It's just stuff, it's just really lucky no-one was hurt. "
