There have been "hoof-kickers" but no sale yet of some expensive Hawera livestock with a free section attached.
Sellers Lance and Justine Hart hoped to develop the section next door to their Glasgow St property but two children later and that plan was shelved.
Instead the two ewes and a lamb grazing the section are for sale at $33,000 each - and the land is thrown in. The flock is "half Arapara" and the ram is the father to one of the ewes and the lamb, but he is on loan and not included in the package.
The Harts have owned the section for five years, but they are now down to Mrs Hart's single income and they had to rethink their priorities.
There have been some "hoof-kickers" but no bites yet for the novel sale.
