His former business is no longer trading, and he's not sure whether he will make an appearance in court. He said he had paid all the other bills relating to that business.
Wanganui District Council deputy chief executive Julian Harkness said he could not comment now, because the matter is before the court.
Arborco Tree Services Ltd was incorporated in 2002, and at its peak employed about 20 people.
The company had been a contractor for lines company Powerco.
Mr Bron said he "tossed away" being a Powerco contractor in October last year, as part of his "life changes", and he left Wanganui about a year ago. He declined to say where he lived now.
He wants everyone to know about his treatment by the council.
"They've been doing it to a lot of people, and they need to be taken to task."
He was glad he no longer lived in Wanganui.
"This town has run its course, because of the likes of the council."
In April Mr Bron sold two trucks and some of his tree equipment to Simon Moore. Mr Moore is now doing the same kind of work, trading as Arborco Tree Services 2013.
He is considering changing the name of the business, and has kept the telephone number.
The new business is based at his home in Brunswick. He's working with Clay Winter, last year's Wellington region champion tree climber, and with casual staff as needed.
He said the work was getting positive feedback, and he was looking to become one of the council's preferred contractors.
