Whanganui Film Society pays a visit to 1970s Hollywood cinema for its next screening.
Easy Riders, Raging Bulls: How the Sex, Drugs and Rock 'n' Roll Generation Saved Hollywood will play on October 17.
This documentary version of Peter Biskind's book offers a crash course in the exciting, unhinged and experimental Hollywood cinema of the 1970s. Featuring Dennis Hopper, Warren Beatty, Paul Schrader, Martin Scorsese and many more.
Writing for Eye For Film, reviewer Amber Wilkinson wrote: "A comprehensive and uncompromising look at some of the films that still influence many independent film-makers today - an absolute must for fans of Seventies cinema and a wide-ranging and thoughtful introduction for those who have yet to discover it."
Easy Riders, Raging Bulls will screen on October 17 at 7pm, at the Davis Theatre. You must be a member of the Whanganui Film Society to attend this screening.
