Trash talkers to give public talk in Whanganui

Whanganui based The ECO School is hosting an evening of trash talk.

Touring "no-waste nomads" Hannah Blumhardt and Liam Prince, will discuss zero waste living.

The talk, on Tuesday November 28, is free to attend and includes an introduction to the practicalities and philosophy of waste reduction.

It will be held at the Josephite Retreat Centre, 14 Hillside Terrace.

Drawing on their own research and over two years of experience living zero waste, Hannah and Liam will guide participants through the whys and the hows of life without a rubbish bin.

Topics to be discussed include an explanation of the zero waste movement and why waste reduction is important, together with tips for how to reduce the rubbish.

The talk is part of The Rubbish Trip's travelling project, which takes the zero waste message around New Zealand.

The event starts at 5.30pm.
