Children were out in big numbers at a market day held at Whanganui's Westmere School yesterday. The Preggy2Pepe Market was a fundraiser for Rapanui-Brunswick Playcentre.
Its triple aim was to raise funds, highlight what Playcentre does and expose the work of Whanganui craftspeople, centre president Cavina Skilton-Brignall said.
In the school hall were 20 tables where goods of all sorts were on sale - including second hand toys, lactation cookies and infant clothing.
Outside were activities for children - bubble blowing and homemade play dough, a sausage sizzle and - for the adults - a coffee cart.
There were also three raffles of donated goods, and each family paid a gold coin to get in.
