Daffodils, camellias and other spring flowers will be on display at Wanganui Intermediate School this weekend.
Wanganui Horticultural Society's annual spring show will be held on September 17 beginning at 12 noon.
Wayne Hughes from the Horticultural Society said his paddocks would normally be covered with daffodils, but this year had been tough for a lot of spring flowers.
"In 20 years this is the latest season [for the flowers to bloom] that I've seen. "The biggest problem has been the warm winter. They really need a good cooling period over the winter," Mr Hughes said.
He said as well as flowering late, the blooms tended to be smaller and have shorter stems.
