Newly-elected leader of the National party Simon Bridges is in Whanganui on Friday.
He will be attending the the Clubs New Zealand national conference which is running at the Whanganui War Memorial Centre from Thursday, March 22, to Saturday, hosted by the St John's Club.
The MP for Tauranga and a former transport minister, Mr Bridges will deliver an address to the conference on Friday morning on what to expect in the new political environment.
Made leader of the Opposition last month, he will also be officially opening the Victoria Avenue office of new Whanganui MP Harete Hipango.
