If you've ever wanted to learn how to roller skate, the West Coast Bombers is giving the opportunity to do just that.
The roller derby is offering a 15-week basic roller skating programme, with an emphasis on learning roller derby skills.
"You don't have to do roller derby - we have plenty of skaters who do other types of skating - but derby is our focus," said club member Emma Camden (aka Crystal Crusher).
A free public lesson will be held at the skating rink in Hatrick St, 4.30pm on January 22, with the skating course starting on January 29. The full course costs $50, and you must be 15 years old or over to register.
Ms Camden said although the Bombers had only been going for two years, the club was doing very well and currently had about 30 active skaters.
