Nine weeks after his 12m fall, Ross Mitchell-Anyon is making excellent physical progress and talking more, his wife Bobbi said this week.
The Wanganui potter has gradually become more mobile since moving to the acquired brain-injury rehabilitation centre in Porirua five weeks ago.
"He is talking a lot but he is confused and doesn't remember things I have told him," Mrs Mitchell-Anyon said.
"The medical staff have asked that visits be kept fairly short and infrequent because he becomes agitated and wonders why people get to come and go and he has to stay put."
She said her husband was slowly gaining strength and putting on weight with exercise and increased appetite.
